VLC Photo + Kid's shoots!

I used to nanny for almost three years and babysat for a couple more and my favorite part was watching the kids.

It's fascinating watching the mannerisms and the silly things kids do. Especially when they think you are not watching. Every moment is funny. Even when it's not. Even when their a crying or hurt. Why? Because kids do things in their own way. In their own strange and funny way.

For example, my friend's little girl is the funniest thing to me. She's silly as can be and super smart. It bugs her mom to no end but it's hilarious to me.

Like when I was taking pictures of her and the bargain was she gets a lick from her lollipop if she cooperates and stands still. She licks, runs to her spot across from me, stands still, I go to take a picture, and she's already running back for another lick. Ohh.. how smart this one is!

I can't blame her!

So, kids have always had a special place in my photography. No picture is a bad picture and every picture is a moment their parents will treasure. Even the silly crazy faces they make, because it is SO them!

I strive to capture personality and with these kids I think I did that!

Such CUTIES!!

I posted a wee bit about these kids a while back but I haven't done these cuties justice. I had SO much fun shooting them from jumping on the bed (ssshhh, don't tell mommy!) to eating some yummy lollipops. They were so bubbly and fun and excited to have me take their photos as I was excited to photographer THEM!

While I was editing them, I had a HUGE smile on my face because each photo radiated their personalities. I think I had a soft spot on the littler munchkin.

Mini Kid Session

One thing I have learned in the past few years doing kid photo sessions is that the unpredictable happens and you can't even TRY or even THINK of trying to control the situation.

And that is why I love kids' shoots. They are fun, spontaneous and full of giggles. This one in particular involves tons of bribing, hiding behind curtains and sharing lollipops...even if sick.

I have one more session tomorrow and will post some of those soon. I am leaving LA pn Wednesday and am back to work on two trailers, which both are due out around January. So thank GOD for me, you wont have to wait that long, but which means lots of fun work for me. I also got a family shoot scheduled in the beginning of January that I am excited to do because rarely do I do families, especially in mid winter. Even if it's in Atlanta.

I got the sweet opportunity to photograph these ADORABLE kiddies and I mean just look at the cuteness that oozes from these two!

I am especially in love with little S! Look at the adorableness!

Sweet Baby

I am backtracking a bit. I want to show you what I have so far before I show you my most recent work. I am building up to something kinda big so bear with me!

Anyways.. this was for my adopted niece's newborn photoshoot from like November I think. This reminds me that maybe I should go see her soon. Haven't seen her since then.


I am so elated and excited to show you these pictures! I know you will love this precious baby, too! She's the cutest thing! I'll show you what I mean.

Children & Family Shoots

One to two-hour shoot in a setting of your choice. A CD with 10-20 edited and retouched images will be mailed to you upon completion, within three weeks.

Price: $300. Longer shoots can be arranged for additional fees.
